🏔️ What is Equation Pyramid?

Equation Pyramid is an original math puzzle inspired by the Korean show "Devil's Plan 2". You fill a pyramid of 9 cells with numbers 1–9, then from each number's cell choose an adjacent cell as the operand and a third cell's operator to form a valid equation, so every number's result equals the target at the pyramid's top.

📜 Game Rules

Pyramid cells connect by "row" and "adjacency"
Each number used once; 1–9 filled exactly once
Operators: +, −, ×, ÷
Follow the standard rule: multiplication/division before addition/subtraction
Verify row by row from bottom up; all results must equal the top target

🎮 How to Play

Top shows the target (e.g. 12)
Start from the bottom; tap two adjacent cells to form an equation
Pick an operator and see if the result equals the target
Use the 🎯 Check button to verify the whole pyramid

💡 Strategy

1. Work backwards

Reason backward from the top target: if it's 12, it could be 3×4, 2+10, 14−2, etc. Rule out impossibilities.

2. Use multiplication to narrow fast

Multiplication grows numbers quickly. If the target is large, favor multiplication; if small, favor addition/subtraction.

3. Lock unique positions first

Some positions fit only one number or operator; lock them first to cut later trial-and-error.

How is the target set?

The system auto-generates a solvable target from the pyramid layout and guarantees exactly one solution per puzzle.

Must I use all numbers?

Yes! You must fill 1–9 into the pyramid cells, each exactly once.
